A fun little colour/potion mixing exploration game.
I had a bit of trouble reading the text sometimes cos it was too small or the font made it difficult. But it didn't stop me in my tracks or anything.
The pixel art was cool some of the set pieces looked really cool too. I wish the UI was a bit bigger as it looked awesome when mixing potions and I loved the little animation.
The music was really creepy and the setting of the game was nice.
After level 2 though I started to get a bit fed up just finding the right combination of doors to open to mix the colours to open another door. It's a fun concept but just opening doors constantly kinda worn me down.
Still it was a nice little game and I enjoyed playing it :)
Thanks so much for the review, I'm glad you liked it. Yeah i find that the gameplay loop gets old pretty quick which is why I have plans on adding new features to it. Something like each potion having some sort if unique ability (orange can set things on fire, cyan can be used as a temporary torch/light) which would allow me to make new ideas for puzzles. Looking forward to working more on this.
Thanks again for your feedback i really appreciate it <3
So couple of Notes:
The prologue is bugged due to the WebGL integration, and doesn't show, so for anyone interested it is only a text box that looks like the screenshot attached.
All levels are passable and if stuck you can use the Hourglass looking station to reset the level, the controls are "Y" and "N" but rather buttons you would have to click on the screen. (I see how that is a major UI problem)
The brewing station also works by you clicking on the potion in the UI of the brewing station (not anything from the inventory)
Lastly, the game is not resizable and is fit for a 1920*1080 screen, in future i'll have to update to make it resizable and fit the users screen
